Hamner, Jewell & Associates assists housing and redevelopment agencies with the acquisition of property rights and in administering relocation assistance programs in conformance with California Government Code requirements and the requirements of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act, for federally assisted projects.

Consistent with our mission statement, all of our services are provided with a personalized touch, always with the goal of trying to achieve mutually satisfactory solutions through which community goodwill is maintained.  We keep apprised of HUD requirements and policies, as well as redevelopment laws and related ordinances such as Mobile Home Park Closure provisions.

We have worked on numerous significant housing and redevelopment projects, including projects for the , HUD, the San Buenaventura Housing Authority, the Port Hueneme Redevelopment Agency, the Ventura Redevelopment Agency, the Poway Redevelopment Agency, and the Santa Barbara Redevelopment Agency, facilitating major downtown renovation projects such as the Paseo Nuevo Mall in Santa Barbara and the Downtown Century Theatre Project in Ventura, as well as affordable housing projects such as the Mira Vista Senior Housing Project in Camarillo.  In conjunction with these projects, we have facilitated the purchases of vacant and improved land, commercial, residential, and industrial properties.  We have aided in the relocation of owner occupant residents, residential tenants, and businesses that have included automotive facilities, thrift stores, tattoo parlors, retail establishments, and restaurants.

In addition, our services include property acquisition and relocation planning, analysis, and cost estimating, preparing relocation plans and guidelines for client adoption.
